She Knows She Can
A collection of interviews from female athletes of multiple sports and diciplines.
"She Knows She Can" is a female sports documentary that looks to represent the female sports experience, exploring the driving forces and obstacles that shape a female athlete's journey. Through interviews with women and young girls in sports like gymnastics, karate, taekwondo, and ballet, we uncover a shared resilience despite the unique challenges of each discipline. They discuss a wide variety of topics: disparities between men and women, body image, and societal perception. While inequalities vary, these women are united by their relentless pursuit of excellence. Beyond their roles as athletes, they are women who once stood as young girls with big dreams that fueled their perseverance despite the odds. Others are young girls aspiring towards their goals.
By amplifying their voices, we hope to inspire future generations, foster greater understanding, and contribute to a more inclusive and supportive sports culture for women.
